Maria Elena Cannazza has specialized in Securitization since the start of her career and has practiced both in Milan and London with leading domestic and international firms (such as Bonelli Erede and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer), thus deepening her expertise in domestic and cross-border deals. Her international experience was further strengthened by an internship in 2006-2007 with the structured finance desk of Credit Suisse, London. She has assisted arrangers, originators, servicing companies, investors and rating agencies in securitization transactions on a variety of asset classes, including NPLs, RMBS, health receivables, leasing and consumer credit receivables.
Maria Elena has also been involved on a number of banking transactions and has developed considerable experience in Restructuring after joining in 2011 Lombardi Molinari e Associati (now Lombardi Segni e Associati), advising leading national and international banks, as well as major Italian companies on a number of restructuring plans, debt restructuring agreements, and composition with creditors procedures.
Maria Elena is also focused on the structuring of securitization of NPLs and other innovative deals for the use of securitization in Restructuring transactions. She specializes in the regulatory aspects of NPL and Securitizations and holds regularly international seminars and workshops on the Italian NPL market.
As of June 2017 she has been a partner of Lombardi Segni e Associati in the practice area of Banking and Finance.
